Most plans multiply AE headcount by quota and stop there. Answer 8 questions to see what hiring dates, ramp, attrition, and real attainment do to your number, and how much pipeline it takes to close the gap.
FY27 AE bookings: your assumptions, the reality checks, then what the plan adds from your CRM data
Bookings come from deals, and deals come from pipeline. Add a few numbers from your CRM. Leave the optional ones blank to skip them.
Your inputs, the bridge, and the pipeline math in one email you can forward to your team. One follow-up about closing the gap, then nothing unless you reply.
Send a CRM export and your targets. Gapline tests every assumption above against what actually happened, then builds the plan your team runs FY27 on. No meetings, delivered in 5 business days.

What arrives. One email with a private link to your plan page, the Excel model, and the summary deck. Open it on any device, adjust scenarios in the browser, or work in the spreadsheet.
Priced against one hire. A fully loaded AE typically costs $150k to $250k a year. If the plan stops one hire you don't need, or times one you do, it has paid for itself many times over.
Book by Dec 1. Most FY27 plans go to the board in November and December. Plans booked by Dec 1 are delivered before most board meetings. Five plans a month.
On time and ready to run, or you don't pay: delivered within five business days of receiving complete data, with every assumption documented and one round of revisions. If it's late, or you tell us within 14 days of delivery that it isn't ready to run your year on, you get a full refund within 10 business days. A plan that confirms yours is sound counts as a good outcome.
Revenue operations leader · 10 years in GTM operations at B2B SaaS companies
I built a RevOps function from one person to a team of twelve covering sales, marketing, and CS operations, deal desk, CPQ, and the GTM tech stack across SMB, mid-market, and enterprise in the US, EMEA, and APAC. I ran annual planning, capacity models, territories, and comp, owned quote-to-cash, and presented net revenue retention and financial reporting to the board.
Most recently I built ICP scoring and territories from scratch and an AI-assisted sales workspace that guides AEs through their day. I've managed managers, built partnerships and SDR teams from zero, and reworked commercial strategy and comp plans to push net revenue retention above 100%.
Gapline runs that same planning work through software, so you get a senior operator's plan without waiting six weeks for it. I check every plan before it ships. Delivery is async: questions get an email answer within one business day.
The report runs your plan month by month across a 12-month fiscal year and keeps track of every AE.
Pipeline math works backward from the target: deals needed is target divided by deal size, opportunities is deals divided by win rate, and each opportunity has to be created one sales cycle before it closes.
Revenue type changes the wording, not the math. Each AE's capacity is quota times productive months whether they sell subscriptions, usage, or services. If you sell more than one, enter the total your AEs are measured on.
It is a planning estimate, not a forecast. It ignores seasonality and team-level differences, which the Operating Plan covers with your CRM data.
The questions above run in your browser. Nothing is stored unless you ask for the report by email.
If you do, we keep your email, company name, and the numbers you entered and the results so we can send the report and one follow-up. We never ask for customer names or contact data, and we don't sell or share anything. To delete your data, reply to any email from us.
For paid plans you send a CRM export with company-level fields only. We delete it 90 days after delivery.
